This year we participated in 8 Tuff Miles, an eight mile road race on St. John, USVI. We registered our participant with the Wounded Warrior Project, a project that assists injured warriors throughout their healing process with programs focused on engaging warriors, nurturing their minds and bodies and encouraging economic empowerment through many other programs. Through the kindness of others and the effort of our participants we were able to make our donation goal and contribute to the WWP!
We have a special place in our hearts for rescue animals and the shelters that save their lives. Each year we make a donation in honor of our beloved friend, mascot, and family member, Sammy. The Northeast Animal Shelter works hard to find homes for rescue dogs and cats in their care. They also provide humane education in local schools, pet visits to local nursing homes and adult day health facilities, and foster care for some of their most vulnerable rescues.

We are proud supporters of the Pan-Mass Challenge, an annual bike-a-thon that raises more money for charity than any other single event in the country! The PMC donates 100% of every rider-raised dollar to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through its Jimmy Fund. Each year more than 5,500 riders take part and over the past 35 years the PMC has raised more than $455 million for cancer research.
The North Shore Cancer Walk & Run are held each year with thousands of participants from all over Massachusetts to help raise funds for cancer care at the Mass General/North Shore Cancer Center. In 2015 the run and walk are being held to support the construction of the new Inpatient Oncology Unit at the North Shore Medical Center as well as wellness services and support programs at the Mass General/North Shore Cancer Center in Danvers.
Since 2011 we have been actively involved in the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation by registering as an Official Drop-Off location and donating our time at the Burlington Collection/Distribution Center. The Toys for Tots Foundation is a very special campaign that delivers – through a new toy at Christmas – a message of hope to less fortunate children that will assist them into becoming responsible, productive, and patriotic citizens.
For more on our involvement in the foundation please view our Toys for Tots page.
